Tesco "aero" wipers - any good? - Tornadorot
On my last visit to Tesco, I noticed they now sell these snazzy new flat "aero"-style wipers at quite reasonable prices. I think they were designed for retrofitting to conventional arms. Has anybody tried them? Are they any good? Or their (very cheap) conventional wipers for that matter?

Apparently they're good, but they're ugly as sin - whether that matters probably depends on what you're fitting them too.
The 'box' which adapts the arms to attach the wiper is massive on the Tesco ones. It looks like you've gaffer taped an old tape cassette to your wipers.

Bosch ones are excellent and unobtrusive, available at a decent price from wiperblades.co.uk (assuming I'm allowed to say that)

I agree about the big boxes, or try ebay, I have tried various ones of these the cheap ones (which all seem to be the same chinese ones) Valeo and BOSCH and the latter is the best and can be easily and cheaply refilled with new rubber, the other two can't.

Since Tesco were offering a BOGOF deal on conventional wiper blades and daughters car needed wipers, I tried a set and will report later. The initial impression is good, but the construction is old style with split (2) metal stiffeners per blade. I hope to report if they dont get nicked.....

The carriers look like a cheap copy of Bosch.
