My windscreen wipers are on a 'go slow'. So slow that I do not think I can take the car out in a rain shower. Could it be the motor?

More details needed. Going slow on both speeds and intermittent wipe or just one speed no matter what the setting?

most probbably the linkage, steel shafts in monkey metal causes chemical reaction and they corrode, you could strip them, clean and fill with grease but it will still need replacement eventually its only a stop gap repair
