2008 2.5 vivaro that thinks its a movano - eblocks
Hi,

Just bought a vivaro 2.5 sportive that is supposed to produce 146bhp. It is very sluggish and seems to suffer with turbo lag.

When i took it back to dealers they plugged it in and it thinks its a movano and they cant work out why, as both vehicles are produced and built in diferent factories and countries.

Has any body else had this prob....

They have still to come up with a solution!

They're both re-badged Renaults, so i wouldn't put anything past French electronics....

An identity crisis sounds more like a body-module configuration error. I can't see the engine power being affected unless the entire wrong software has been loaded. Why dont they just update to the latest version?

Have they looked for a more tangible reason; EGR fault; blocked DPF etc?

normal problem with these is the boost pressure sensor on nearside of engine bay away from engine has a small bore pipe to it changed a few but normally come up with a code as for the miss identity they have been haveing software issue's latetly with theses ex renaults and we have been told not to update the ecu's
