A55 9 months of works - PRIOR WARNING - welshlad
Just thought i would warn people that next month between Llanfairfechan and conwy there is going to be 9 months of road works on the A55, they recently carried out 3 months on the section between Llanfairfechan and Tal-y-bont and that was bad enough so anyone heading into north wales from the direction of Chester should be aware that there could be some major headaches

Living Bangor I think we've had more than our fair shair of road works since December. The city at times has been gridlocked with 4 separate Road works going on simultaneously. So now we won't be able to get in or out

Amazing though that years ago travelling to Anglesey on business from Chester during the summer meant an overnight stay. Now you can do it an hour (due to the A55 and reduced numbers of holidaymakers).

they built the road on the cheap and it has needed repairs from day 1

as for that section west of Llanfairfechan where the right hand edge (Westwards) cuts in on you by a couple of feet...

I used to wrok in Llandudno and it was a non starter to commute the 25 miles from Caernarfon due to the queue at Conwy

Staying outside Caernarfon this week - Home tomorrow though in time for er...another holiday ! Will use the A5 to get to the M6 via Telford.

I live on the Wirral and have just spent an excellent 3 days playing golf in Llandudno/Conwy. The A55 was an absolute doddle both ways - just over one hour each way (and no speeding, of course, because Mr Brunstrom was watching).

yep rouge thes the project thanks for the link

just come back from tal-y-bont and theres a 4 mile tailback and they havent even started yet....a sign of things to come??

i wasnt altogether bothered today was the first day ive been able to put the roof down on the car in weeks and with crawling along i could put all the windows down too got the evil eye off a few sweltering in their cars :-)
