03 1.6 oil filters engine code BFQ petrol - maltrap
can anyone tell me the difference between a Mann oil filter part no W 719/5 & W 719/30. Can i use 719/5 in place of the 719/30. Thanks in anticipation.

According to my info, neither of those are suitable for bfq engine.

i would not use them unless supplier catagorically stated that it would be ok to use (and they would pick up bill for any damage that may happen.

To clarify, according to my info; atn,aus,azd,bcb.bfq, use different filter !

According to GSF its the W719/30. This is also the one currently on the car. It's just that i've got an unused W719/5 that fitted my Mk 3 golf, externally it's identical.inside the spring loaded valve is lower down. Thanks for your reply.
