hi all how do i adjust the handbrake any advise welcomed . can it be done from inside the car?

if your model has drums then the correct method is, undo the adjuster nut at rear of centre console to release all tension on the shoes. remove the drums, adjust up the shoes properly (the self adjuster's don't work well), refit the drums, tighten up the adjuster nut until the desired amount of clicks is achieved, i usually go for fully on after 6 clicks. release the handbrake and check it isn't binding the brakes, if it is back the adjuster off slightly.
you could of course just tighten the adjuster as many do which will tighten it but the shoes will likely need adjusting anyway and is the proper way to do it.
