02 1.4 anit pollution system fault + loss of power - mark one
My sister has a Pug 307 1.4 HDi diesel, 37K on the clock on a 02 plate. She has owned it for four years

Recently the car has been loosing power or cutting out.

If it cuts out turning the key will bring the engine to life again

This happens around town and on Mways too

The computer says its a anit pollution system fault

Any ideas anyone please

The "Anti-pollution fault" message is a generic warning that there's a problem with the engine management and a fault-code has been logged.

As there are 3,000 fault-codes; it doesn't help much to pin it down. Get the fault-codes read by anyone with a professional code-reader and come back with the exact numbers.

We had this problem.

Intermittent power loss and cutting out.

Generic warning lights - airbag fault, anti-pollutant fault.

Took it to local garage and they fitted a new ignition coil pack.

As the OP speaks of a diesel, maybe the ignition coil won't be an issue in this case.
