Aircon regassed last August shortly after purchase of car, no leaks found in system and all other parts working fine.
Went to drive car today, compressor clicks on but air does not get chilled.
Any ideas?

Now you have a leak and no gas!
Only way to prove / dsiprive is get it service by an AC engineer - did my 7 year old Honda alst year - came to the door - checked the pressurising was OK, gassed the system - £50.
At previous service Honda Garage wanted a new condenser and system check - megabucks.
Sold the car 6 mths later and it still worked OK at that time.

Have you been using the AC during winter, or is this the first time it's been switched on this year? Failure to use AC on a regular basis can allow the seals to dry out, which in turn allows the refrigerant to escape. See www.honestjohn.co.uk/faq/faq.htm?id=14
(apologies if you already knew this)

Car was used by me for approx 7 months and aircon would have been used almost on a daily basis and in that time car covered 6,000 miles.
Car is now the wife's and annual mileage is under 2000 and car is used 3 times a week but may be some weeks where it is not used but I'm sure the aircon is used when the car is used

Car,
Best thing to do is to pop along to your nearest Kwik Fit who won't charge you if the system has a leak when they try filling it. OK, from a recent report here their leak tests won't be conclusive ## (if it's a tiny leak), but what do you expect for £44.95? I've read on other forums where people have gone back several days later when the aC has stopped working after a recharge at KF, and have been refunded their money. Up to you if it's worth a punt.

My car's Owner's Guide recommends not using the aircon when it's not needed. There's no mention of a need for regular use.

Obviously things *may* vary from manufacturer to manufacturer, but quoting from a 2002 Astra handbook "In order to ensure continuously efficient performance of the cooling (cooling compressor) must be operated once a month for a few minutes, irrespective of the weather and time of year" In fact looking through several different Vauxhall handbooks they pretty much all say the same thing.
From memory I recall you own a Focus. There *may* be no mention of regular use as whenever the screen setting is selected the AC comes on automatically (well it does on our pool cars at work) and will get regular use anyway.

The handbook for a Seat Ibiza I once owned advised using the aircon regularly.
I remember because the suggested frequency was once a 'moth' (sic).
A bit off post, but now the warmer weather is on the way, it's not a bad time to remind everyone their domestic central heating needs turning on regularly.
Once a moth would be good for that, too.

Got aircon checked, needs new condensor, reciver dryer and a couple of seals and regas. Is this a common thing to go on 323's or have I just been unlucky, oh well look like I'll have to raid the piggy bank.
