00 2.0 Central panel - the AC/FAN buttons working - axell
Hi, i've got a 320D X Reg, i noticed that the AC/FAN is not working all the time, it's START/STOP every 2-3 min. Even if i would set up the lowest speed, it's the same thing, this shouldn't work all the time? Sorry for my bad english. Thank you in advance. Regards

The AC fan is not supposed to work all the time, - you didn`t mention the model, but if it is a 320d SE, that has auto climate control, so fan only cuts in occasionally to maintain the set temperature.

Is the OP referring to the blower fan rather than the radiator/condensor cooling fan?

Hi, thanks, yes it's a 320D SE, what i am trying to say is when i start the engine, i set up the fan speed to the max, but will not start, will do after 10 min, and after that will be that cycle of 2-3 min START/STOP, but it's not cold enough to STOP the FAN from working. I am talking about about the inside blower FAN. A friend of mine says should be a problem with the AC CONTROL MODULE...is it right? Thanks.

The heater fan speed regulator is at fault.It is located in the side of the heater box ,in drivers side footwell.Part cost is around £60.hth
