04 2.5 Anti-skid and ABS light both lit up - Nsar
Anyone had this problem?

Just came on yesterday. Pressing anti-skid switch has no effect.

Also there is a very quiet but just audible high pitched electronic beep that lasts about three seconds. It seems to be loosely related to gear changes but not competely synchronous.

Any clues?

You've got an ABS fault. The only effective way to identify exactly what's failed is to get it plugged-in and the codes read.

The problem was that both brake light bulbs had gone, which disables the ABS the Anti-skid and the cruise control, which strikes me as rather a drastic side effect of a couple of bulbs going.

The ABS on Vaux Cavaliers also stopped working if both brake bulbs had blown.
