01 1.6 - petrol - intermittent loss of power - butters
When driving short distance car fine. But when driving on open road and reach about 60ish car seems to loose power for a second or untill you put you foot down a bit more. You do get a strong smell of petrol as well. once it starts doing that and you stop at traffic lights the ideling is a bit ragged. Can anyone Help

As a test,try venting the fuel tank by opening the filler cap slightly.If this improves the situation then you could be looking at a blocked evap canister.(situated in o/s/f wing).Not an unknown fault on this model.hth
