Always the same (cue violins) the sun comes out the sales enquiries drop off.

B&Q seems very busy though.

Or am I imagining all this.

Has B+Q got a sale on yet?

Perhaps the sales enquiries that remain are serious, and the ones that have gone to the DiY sheds were never going to buy anyway?

B&Q are suffering hugely from people no longer moving house.

I think niceguyeddy, that the credit crunch is beginning to bite.

And no doubt all the used car dealers are going in to summer mode

ie. line up the display of cars all absolutely parallel with their boots all open, in fact why not chuck in one of the back wheels parked up on a ramp thing as well!

Have always wondered why dealers do this, does the car sell better as its parked up on a ramp or is it purely something to keep the sales guys busy? I remember seeing one sales manager in a dealership in Glasgow and he had a rope tied from one end to the other and all the salesmen were parking the display cars and they had to stop once their right headlamp touched the rope (they were all Passats). Perfection is an art!!

What about all the drop tops you're selling, eddy?

Makes a change from chatting to each other on their phones in an effort to look busy.

I always thought this was a daft practice. It means you have to disconnect the boot lamp. The interior gets dusty and presumably there is a rush (hopefully) to close all the tailgates if it rains. And all for what exactly? Cars don't look any better.

One of our local main dealers does this all the time as well as the ramp trick.

>>And all for what exactly?

Keeps the interior dry & fresh & banishes any mustiness (except when it rains obviously!)
