Me too, with sharply sloping windscreens you get on cars now it's very difficult if not impossible to clean them easily.

Maybe THATS why they designed the rear screen of the Ford Anglia 105E like that, to make internal cleansing easier ; o )

I thought was why the hatchback was invented. Saloon back windows are a pain.

You'll go a long way and spend a small fortune to beat the method for cleaning aircraft wind shields. Take a sheet of newspaper, dampen it very slightly, crumple it into a workable size and wipe in horizontal bands. If you want to be really posh drop in a little white vinegar. The result is an absolutely clean, streak free piece of glass that's a joy to use even at night.

One of the Queen's Land Rovers was - by Royal request, no less! - fitted with a wiper mechanism INSIDE the rear screen many years ago. It was to wipe away the condensation caused by... breathing and panting from the Royal corgis in transit.
Straight up.

My old Capri could have done with that! I sometimes ended up with an old dog breathing and panting on the back seat...
