2006 1.9TDi - Heavy knocking - hugomont
Has anybody ever experience a heavy knocking which seems to come from either the clutch or gearbox. The knock sounds like a broken shaft with in the gearbox.

Some more info required here?

Does this knock when pressing the clutch? engaging a gear? taking up drive? at different speeds?

sorry the car is a toledo 1.9tdi and is 2006 {now added}. The knocking can be heard on tick over and felt in the cluth pedal. knock disappear some what when clutch pressed but still can be heard and felt in pedal. Also knocking on take up of 1st + 2nd gears only.

Straight into the dealers; almost certainly for a new clutch and dual-mass flywheel under warranty.
