98 1.0 litre Uneven tickover - steady.eddie
My S reg. Corsa 1 litre will not run smoothly. It doesn't idle at 1500rpm - it runs from 1000 to 2000. If you try to hold the revs. at 2000, it runs from 1500 to 2500. This carries on throughout the rev range. I have changed the stepper motor and throttle position sensor but this has not made any difference.Has anyone come across this? Any suggestions?

It doesn't idle at 1500rpm


The idle speed should be around 800 rpm.

Air leak into the inlet, EGR stuck, or possible MAF sensor.
