Yes I did a double take as well. Just filled Mrs P's car with Shell Vrooom because I spent more than £30.00 got a free model Ferrari. Ah well, thought it was too good to be true. :-(

Just figured out that I have already spent nearly £2000 at our local Shell station in 2008. I must be due a real car soon ! ( perhaps not a Ferrari )

Sobering thought though, thick end of 2 grand on fuel in just over 3 months.....phew.

SS,

That's £130 a week or more than a tankfull every other day.

Burning that lot, when do you find the time to sleep?

At the moment not a lot ! 550 miles yesterday alone ( £2k incs SWMBO's fuel too mind )

I hope you have a Shell card with that spend...

Yes , I do, it does help but it still hurts ! I have this strange way of life where for two slugs of 4 months a year it's full on 7/7 and then in between there is much less to do. Another month of madness to go and then it'll be quieter until August when it all hits the fan again. At the moment I'm quite sure the car looks at me every morning and mutters something like...... "you 'avin a laugh? "

I don't suppose a free Ferrari would be a lot of use to you, SS, because it would never stand up to the use.

Free Ferrari, sir? No thanks, I'd rather have a Mondy diesel.

Actually just in confirmation of my personal suspicion of my own deteriorating sanity, I sometimes used to use my Westfield for work when I had it, just to ring the changes on days when I didn't need more than a briefcase and a laptop. Sold it when the hearing started to suffer and the addition of SS jnr caused a weekend seating shortage of course.
