I haven't owned or driven one but I have an opinion - I think it's far and away the best-looking supermini/small car on the market. Great styling. And I think it looks even better in red. Buy a red one.

That's exactly my plan. I've even located one :) Thanks Dave

You got shot of that rotten Peugeot then?
05 onwards - anyone own/driven one? - Gabe
The Peugeot was written off by some drunk, uninsured driver. There is a God after all :)

It was probably Lud.

A friend has had one from new for about 2 years. No problems except front tyre wear - no idea of tyre make but I think she's getting about 15k a set .....but we do have a lot of roundabouts. Aside from that she loves the car and even finds it good on long distances contrary to some reviews. "Which" regard it well too.

I have driven it. Good car.

Anyone have any user responses re the auto model?
05 onwards - anyone own/driven one? - Gabe
Funny you should say that but I was considering the auto model. A friend of mine has one abroad and he loves it....Any other views?

apparently its easy to jack them up from the wrong point and wreck the suspention, make sure you check where exactly the proper jacking points are, and make sure the fast fit outfits use them

I've got one, and it's red!

I test drove several super-minis and came to the conclusion the Swift was the best.
Great handling, powerful engine giving 47mpg on a long run, comfortable high driving position, keyless locking, and above all: Fun to drive.
The boot is a bit small, but the rear seats fold flat which is unusual.
My local dealer matched the best Internet price too.

Doc - can I ask you how much it was initially priced at and what you bargained it down to?

I paid £8364 last August.

It is a 1.5 GLX 5 door.

My father took delivery of a 1.5 GLX 3 door with bodykit and hasn't said a bad word about the car, which for him is a miracle!
It was a pre reg for £7995.
Good build quality, boot is small but interior space is good between the two front seats.
Engine is good and feels spritely.

Pre reg for 7995? Where was that?! The dealership are trying to sell me a 57 plate (10 miles) for the same amount!

Matthewmans of Rochdale.
Not a bad offer on p/ex either.
Nice blokes
Not sure if still offering same deal now as last month but it did have the extra of a bodykit which looks nice.
