Hey, My engine on my 1996 Fiat Punto 55S keeps overheating quite dramatically, and water is leaking through what i suspect is the water pump, has anyone got any cheap "quick-fixes" for this until i can afford to get it done properly?
I don't know if i could use new gasket sealant on it?
Or if radweld work do a job?
Can anyone help?

It's not an expensive job, I don't think. What will be much more expensive is the head gasket failure caused by the lack of coolant. Puntos are notorious for it. The HGF could kill the car financially.

Hi,
There is a product on the market [which I am about to use on my Peugeot 306 D-turbo] called K-Seal, it is, or would appear to be the answer for all coolant problems, certainly when a car is only worth in the order of £1,000 or less, it must be worth spending £10. The problem is that the cause of the problem is often difficult to diagnose, resulting in much abortive expenditure...the alternative is giving the garage a blank cheque for £1,000....
Cheers
