December 29th, Tescos somewhere near Watford.

Can't remember when I last filled up with petrol as
a) I never fill the tank, I only put in £15's worth in.
b) The car is a diesel and one before was as well!

3rd August 1996 - Had diesels since then

about ten minutes ago to the tune of £75...aghhh

To continue the pedantic theme, the last car I filled up with petrol was Polo, in 2006. ;-)
I filled Gunther about ten days ago, and as he does just over 500 miles on a tank of diesel, he's just started asking to be fed again, so we'll be popping to Sainsburys on the way to work.
It used to cost me just about £50 to fill the tank, now it's nearer £60 or even more if I have the misfortune to have to fill up on the motorway.

Last week with 40 ltrs of V-power and earlier thsi week with 40 ltrs of V-power Diesel (different cars) and now I am the proud owner of 2 x Ferraris.
Unfortunately they a Dinky sized and I will put them aside for my (nearly 2) grandsons in the future. (Ferraris are free if you buy >30 ltrs of V-Power)
I hate buying Petrol & Diesel as it is so expensive so I fill the tank - then I do not have to go back so often!

|
Today at a BP garage. It was only half a tank before I drive home tomorrow and it cost me £38. £1.09p/l and that was the cheapest I could find. :-(
|
Saturday, March 8th, at Tesco - last day before 5p a litre off voucher expired.
Managed £45 worth before discount (12 gallon tank).
|
|
Joking aside, I reckon I buy about 4500 litres a year for my car and a further 500 litres for my wife's. All personally funded. Gloomy maths and set to get worse by all accounts.

>>Gloomy maths and set to get worse by all accounts.>>
It all goes to a good cause. The Ministerial luxury car pool, judging by all accounts.
|
Shell Vroom for the Golf in a garage a couple of villages away.
|
Local Esso station on Sunday evening. 62 litres of standard Unleaded.

I don't suppose the mower counts?
Well wife's Jazz is petrol powered and I do sometimes do the decent thing and leap out and fill it when she's driving. Not actually on the move you understand. But I make her pay. From the joint account :-(
I put diesel in the Passat today 'cos the Shell garage in Bramhall was 4p a litre cheaper than locally, so although I still had half a tank I saved a quid.
2 weeks ago I filled the oil tank for the central heating and got change out of £1,000. Sorry. I've not got over it yet. I'll have to go for a lie down now.

When and where did you last fill up with petrol?
What is the purpose of the question? Or is it a new form of plane-spotting, train-spotting, navel-gazing, ... ?

Why do you ask? Is it going to help anyone to have such information?
|
The surveillance cameras have broken down so now you have to report your movements yourself. So much more efficient than having you followed.
Oops. Am I having those delusions about living in a Stalinist state again?

I am now my own "petrol station", what with running on 100% veggie oil. I haven't had the need to visit a forecourt for about 4 months now. I quite like paying 56p/litre for my fuel. And because the veg oil meets the fiscal definition of biodiesel, it's legal too. Lovely.
Saved a packet, I can tell you. Think how much money you'd save if they halved the cost of diesel...

20th Feb 08. Valero gas station, Placerville, CA. Put in 20.09 US galls @ $3.279 per gallon = £33.63 on my Nationwide card.
Now walking or using the train back in Blighty..............
