Suzuki Ignis I (2001 - 2003) - 2003 1.3 - timing belt or chain?

2003 1.3 - timing belt or chain? - gord115
I have just bought an '03 ignis with only 15000 mile on it. It has FSH but I've been told it doesn't have a timing belt.Is this correct?

No mention of the engine details, despite the 3 separate requests asking for it. Different engines across the range might have either a belt or chain.

If it's an M13A engine; it's a chain drive.

It's a mk1 ignis with the 1.3 engine,is this the M13A engine? (thanks, now put in header)
