I thought this was going to be about the new Bond film. I had heard the the DBS in Quantum of Solace was going to convert into a submarine like the Esprit in days of yore.

why spend all that money on a car that would go from nice and shiney to covered in silt old bike frames and used condoms in a flash?

I think if I was to convert a car for an underwater project, I wouldn't start with a drophead. You wouldn't want to snog your date wearing SCUBA masks, would you? My vision is more like a stretch limo where you could watch the fish and seaweed in comfort, pour a glass of ale or bubbly and dip into the picnic hamper.
