South America hosts Dakar Rally - henry k
Argentina and Chile will host the 2009 Dakar Rally after this year's race was cancelled because of safety concerns.

Sounds interesting. The African stages weren't exactly for wimps, but with some of what South America can throw into the kitty it should be a spectators dream. What a good idea.
