1997 318 - boot badge removal - normd2
a young colleague recently purchased an R reg 318 coupe. Having splashed out on the obligatory (no he's not a chav just misguided :)) window tints and huge M3 alloys with the lowest profile tyres possible, he reckons the effect is spoiled by the 318 badge on the bootlid. Can anyone advise the best way to remove the badge without doing any damage?

then, using the thumb (generating some heat) rub off the remaining glue/gunk

You can order BMW(and MB) without badges but it's an on-cost option.
