Could this be the ideal commuting car? Notwithstanding all the arguments about electric cars and CO2 etc, it's locally 100% clean, fast, has a 100 mile range and *apparently* will only cost £15k.
Not sure I believe it, but would be great if true. Well, except in winter, when it would probably be freezing!

156MPH? commuting car?

Good acceleration. No local emissions. 100 mile range. Presumably no gears? Admittedly it's taking the 'nippy' concept quite a bit further than necessary, but...

Mum showed me the srticle in today's DT thinking I'd be interested.
The 'i' word was not something that described my feelings towards it, more like 'no way' to me.

My commute is 152 miles each day :(

A revolutionary car, like nothing else?
They should google 'electric three wheeler' and see what they get :)

A top speed of 156mph? Only in a straight line if it's just got three wheels!

and it is not a Lotus at all. It is a ZAP, developed with help from Lotus. MSN; that fountain of truth for all things motoring...

"Only" £15k? Buy a C1 and spend the rest on something for yourself - it will take years before it breaks even... if ever....

Nice idea, power and green but US$30k will translate to UK£30k putting it in competition with BMWs and big Audis.
