Believe me I've tried to find them. I've found the injectors on the front side of the engine, I've looked on the rear of the engine to see if they are there, but no.
It has a big plastic cover on the top of the engine but to get that off I have to take a serious amount of kit off. I can't even locate the HT leads!
Any ideas?

I think what the guys are saying is that like most modern cars, instead of a coil and leads, there are 4 coils mounted in a pack just above the plugs. No Leads

I was confused when I went back to petrol after years of diesels.
You don't get thick HT leads any more, just thin wires going to the coil-pack on top of the plug, which is probably platinum or similar, and doesn't need touching for 50k or so!

I bet the plugs are in the middle of the cylinder head ie in the cam cover accessed from above by removing the plastic covering, they will be recessed and may have an individual coil pack above each one. Probably long life plugs that if have platimum tips or similar may be ok for 40,000 miles.
