E-sure insures my 2 x cars + house & contents
Renewal comes in @ £180 comp for the Mazda Xedos (Gp 16 car) that I have owned since almost new in 1999.
Just nipped into TescoCompare website - Cheapest E-sure - same cover £40 less.
The inmates seem to be running the "Premium Calculations"
New customer off the street gets 18% less than an existing customer of 6 years (I was one of their 1st motor policy holders) - the renewal said NCB Discount 70% + 5% for being with them claim free for 6 years.

Have you actually followed up the 'quote' to the point where you're about to pay? Sometimes I've found that the comparison figure increases when you attempt to actually take out the policy.

My insurance company (Frizzell) does this - and the policy "looks" the same, but has subtle differences.
It's limited mileage (have to declare expected mileage), no euro cover, windscreen excess higher, need to tell them about speeding points, courtesy car subject to availability, rather than guaranteed. And they were just the differences I noticed.
I rang them up and they got very close to the web price though.

Cover looks identical - I now have a lower excess (£150) instead of £250 and saved £40.
I have taken out the policy on-line
Saved £40
140 Tesco points
Tesco presumably get a finder's fee
Who lost - It must be E-sure!
Come July when the house comes up and August when the X-trail comes up I will be Tesco Compare shopping
Every Little Helps!

Well I'm with E-sure and I've got a Tesco card, so I'll give it a go; thanks!
