hey. Got a bit of an electric problem... well here goes -

Was driving back from London other night afters seeing my Girlfriend and went to turn the heater on and the lights behind the heater console blew and electric windows wont work now either... as far as i know ive checked the fuses and cant seem to find anything wrong with it so would there be any other way of fixing this or do u think its knackerd for ever lol.??

[That's what big city girls do to you...]

PSA fit many different fuseboxes, at random, on these; how many fuses are there in yours and which are the relevant ones? Are they live at key-on?

Ok its a "Facia fusebox with 30 fuses". ive checked the fuses and seem to be ok :S.


and no think theyre live even without key in.

Which fuse numbers are listed for heater blower [no aircon?] and the windows - it's not just the box type that's random....

Heater blower, engine passenger compartment sensor, switch heated rear screen timer.

Acc +
Instrument panel warning lamps, additional regulation unit, stop lights, front and rear electric front windows, sun roof, load warning lamp, digital clock, electric hood.


F29
30A
Battery + ve
Electric front windows, sun roof.

They are the relevant ones. Checked them all and took facia covers off today to have a look and all seems fine :(

I can't see an obvious link between heater blower and windows - with the possible exception of the earth point under the dash, driver's side.

Did they both stop at exactly the same time?

Is the heater blower still working? As I read it only the lights went out.

Hello.

the lights that light up behind the blowers switches and that powers the windows blew.... they blew when i went to turn the heater around to "circulate" option.
*edit* Yes the blowers still working..

If it's just the bulbs in the heater panel, they feed from the panel illumination rheostat.

Haven't you got a little wheel that dims the panel lights? In the lower dash?
