The company I work for (until redundancy in a few weeks time - boo!) have struck a relationship with Fiat Auto Financial Services. This means we now have access to their staff scheme.
Discounts are:
Panda - 26%
Grande Punto - 24%
Bravo - 20%
Doblo - 25%
Multipla - 20%
Sedici - 25%
147 - 20%
GT - 17%
159 - 20%
Spider - 14%
Question is - with a lot of hard bargaining, are these discounts possible in the real world? On the face of it - these seem pretty good.....
|
Certainly 25% off a Doblo would, I think, be easy on the High Street. Might need to be a pre-reg with nil miles but think still attainable.

|
You can already get these discounts if you barter enough 25% of a Panda full MRP is normal.

bar·ter )
1. to trade by exchange of commodities rather than by the use of money.

Might be a trouble-free way of getting a cheapish Alfa though.
Frequenting this website sometimes fills me with an unseemly sort of envy.

When the FIAT UK staff look out of the windows at FIAT HQ they can see all the heavily discounted FIAT pre-regs stacked up over the road at Trade Sales!

Call me cynical, but wait till the car's a day old and it's already depreciated by that amount anyway. Double the figure a year later.
Don't get me wrong - I LOVE Italian cars and dreamed of a Stilo Multiwagon for company car 4 years ago. (Ended up with an Astra...)

You love Italian cars......and dreamed of a Stilo Multiwagon.
Blimey, you're easily pleased :)

I believe in the next couple of weeks we'll be offered access to the lease scheme which is a cost of 1% of MRP per month.

Your first post with talk of discounts etc, confused me.
The above (or even cheaper) is more like the kind of scheme that most manufacturers offer staff, with the cars replaced at 6-9mths. And often they can have cars for close family too.
I know several people in different manufacturers who use these schemes - everything is included in the monthly cost, all they have to do is put fuel in.

a cousin works for vauxhall and his mother and 3 sisters all have merivas every 6 months.
they all pay £50 inc insurance. looks like a good deal
