Ford Sierra and Sapphire (1982 - 1993) - 2.0 DOHC - Timing marks or settings

2.0 DOHC - Timing marks or settings - spantaff
I am working on a Ford Sierra 2.0 injection DOHC chaindrive and cannot find any marks on the engine block to match with the marks on the crank shaft. Please could somebody help me out. Many thanks

The crank setting is TDC with the dot on the sprocket vertically downwards.
The cam wheels have a mark that aligns with the top of the head - marks outwards.

There are copper-coloured links on the chain that should go with the marks.

There were no IGNITION timing marks on this engine;it was non-adjustable.

The OP said he is working on the chaindrive. That is for the camshafts; the ignition is a different system.

& make sure a new chain, tensioner & slippers ( guides ) are fiited. do not reasemble without new bits.
