Peugeot 206 hatchback (1998 - 2006) - yr 2000 - Air bag light

yr 2000 - Air bag light - frontrow
Problem with indicator arm. Removed the switchblock etc, fixed and re-fitted.
Now air bag light comes on and flickers.
Just coincidence or have I botched it??

Did you disarm and re-arm the SRS system before disconnecting it? Those Comms 2000 column ECUs [what year?] are notoriously fragile and you may need to fit several to get one that works.

You really need to get it read to find out what's going on - but clean the contacts in the plugs under the seats with contact cleaner first JIC. Disarm first!

Thanks for the assist.
I did not disarm/rearm the SRS prior. but did have a slight problem with the light switch when re-assembled. Light/indicator switch working okay now.
Year 2000 {Added to header - DD}
What plugs am I looking for under the seats and what do they do.

You need - at the very least - a Haynes manual to warn you of the dangers you just risked.

It might be better to take this to a local garage for investigation. Fiddling with live/faulty airbag systems has killed people.
