One of the site adverts currently boasts that the Nissan Note has 'Friendly Lighting'.

What on earth is that?

is it the same as the get you home lights" that keep on the headlights so you can see to walk to your front door

Or is it 'soft' interior lighting, such as the LED under the rear view mirror of my Vectra that illuminates the centre console and gear lever?

From the Nissan website: The NOTE?s Friendly Lighting system provides peace of mind when parking at night. Once primed, the headlights stay on for up to two minutes after the car is locked. Use them to light the area around the car or the way to the front door.

So it's the get you home lights but left on for a much longer time. Pity the people who have them - the ones on the Golf only stay on for ten seconds and that's long enough for at least three people to chase after you and tell you you've left your lights on!

That's exactly what happened here the other week, the crusty old milkman helpfully pointed that out.

PU, you've got to master the art of clicking your fingers and pointing a finger at the car a fraction of a second before the lights go off.

Adds to the pose factor if you blow across the top of your finger afterwards ;o)
