hi all.hope someone can help. I have a 99 xantia 18 sx. One of the hydraulic pipes has split, its not in the rubber pipe section, but a metal pipe section. Is it possible to repair the pipe as you would a normal brake pipe by rejoining the two ends with a male and female joint.Or would i need a different fitting thanks mike1

If it's a high pressure pipe, which most of them are, you will have to replace the complete section as a special tool is required to make the ends. You should be able to get a pipe from your dealer, if not there are one or two specialist firms that make them up. Have a look on the internet or try Ebay.

It is possible to repair in situ - but you need a Citroen pipe flaring tool that you can use in the space. Which pipe is it - not the feed the OS suspension by any chance? Your local Citroen indie should be able to make you up a Kunifer pipe that will probably be easier to fit then the steel original - but these are generally cheap from Citroen.

Is it illogical? It must be Citroen....

hi richardw.the rubber pipe starts on the front os brake caliper then goes back to the engine bay.then splits in two one end then ends with a metal pipe this clips to side wall.then turns to go to the back of the car.what is a Kunifer pipe.citroens illogical, it took me 3 days to fit a new heater matrix.all the best for 2008.
