Has anyone visited it recently?

I was wondering how much there is to see - is it a whole day visit? I appreciate it depends on how long you want to spend looking at each exhibit, but a general opinion is sought.

I haven't been for a while, but they have a lovely little boardroom which is available for hire and includes free passes for the attendees - great for a team offsite with a difference.

Its a couple of years since we went. You can spend a whole day there if you have a real interest in the exhibits. There's also a 4x4 course - a few quid to be a passenger in a Landie 110.

I went last summer, a good look at all the exhibits took about half a day. There are showings of archive films (which I didn't have time to see all of) too so I would think one could pass a full day there. I had lunch in the cafe, not too expensive and seemed OK.

The public facilities won an award when they opened.

It's full of Rovers, half a Mini and a rotating K-series cross-section.

To be honest i would go when there is a speciality show on that you want to attend anyway, its a pleasant stroll around the museum but couple of hours at the most.

Will look out for you at the classic truck show Bell Boy, that really is a good day out (Sunday is the best day IMO).

Great fun boring Georgeous to bits with quips like i used to have one of those and other such entertaining patter.

BB i bet you didn't acknowledge it had happened until out of earshot?

S'pose classic trucks are an acquired taste.

I reckon Gaydon has to be one of the best.

We were going to go yesterday, but decided not to due to the fog. Maybe next year.

Went to see St Trinians instead. One of the ads was for the Astra Twin Top (or whatever it's called). Looks like it's the ideal car if you live around Gloucester. Apparently you can go surfing in it with no ill effects. Bring back Pearl and Dean DaDa DaDa DaDa DaDaDaDa

Nice pics henry; I prefer to see them in action myself on a road run or similar. Not quite the same when they're sitting motionless in a museum.
