(yr 97-01) warning lights - dodgybee
hi i have 4 warning lights flashing where the rear wash wipe,wiper,rear demister and ac on off switches are.
i have seen this before but cannot remember whos car it was it was the same model
grand voyager.
does anyone know the cause and how to reset them

The flashing lights on the switches is usually in indication that the climate control system needs a reset/recalibration,often after a flat or disconnected battery.No special tools needed to do this as it is carried out by pushing the relevant buttons in a special sequence.I can access the info tomorrow if reqd.hth

Hi
Press and hold the rear wiper and the rear wash wipe (the top and bottom buttons on the left) with the flaps set on panel, this will calibrate the flaps. After it has passed this ( just the top button flashing (rear wash))it needs to do a cool down test and to do this you hold the rear wiper and air con button. You will need the car hot and the air con to work.

Ok it has passed the first half (calibrating the flaps) it just needs to pass the cool down test now.
COOLDOWN TEST ENTRY
TO INITIATE TEST:
² Set Blower motor ON HIGH
² Open all A/C outlets
² Depress A/C and WASH buttons simultaneously
for 5 Seconds (Until all LED?s light)
sorry see I said rear wiper
if this doesn?t work it will flash a fault code at you.
all so easy when it's in front of you not so when you try and tell someone else how to do it.

Hi

I have just bought a 1997 grand voyager 3.3 LE which has a similar problem.

On the facia the top 2 buttons for rear wipe on and intermittent flash for 10 - 15 minutes

They then stop which allows me to use the other buttons on the facia (air con etc)

Is there a way to reset this?

The guy I bought it from had replaced the battery recently and I also had to locate the code for the radio so it appears to be a similar fault as described above

Any help would be appreciated

Hi
Follow my first post this set the flaps that it looks like yours lost due to the battery being disconnected. If it fails it will flash a code. Turn the direction dial does it go to all the directions or does it just click?

Hi

Yes it goes in all directions.

After 10-15 minutes all buttons function properly - while the two top buttons flash, only the rear wipe operates during this time

Anything else I should look out for?

have you set the flaps following my first post? and did they all start flashing and the flaps changing direction on there own?
