OK, it makes a great story (who wouldn't like to loan their car to a former World Champion and see him put it through its paces).... but do we believe this?

He could still beat the other losers in an Opel.
Forza Schummi.

Do you think JC will ever get him on Top Gear's SIARPC?

What insurance was he covered by?
If none is it a potential prosecution?

What insurance was he covered by?
He'd probably fall foul of some rule or other in the UK (it's probably illegal here for a non-taxi driver to drive a taxi) but in Germany I think the car is insured itself as part of the annual registration process.

my friend had his taxi licence revoked by the local concil when he lent his car to his girlfriend.
she refused to stop to pick up a customer and the customer complained to the council that this woman wouldnt stop and his licence was removed for 2 months

Just been checking my (new) insurance with Admiral and Nurburgring is specifically excluded! Not that I have ever considered driving there .....

Oh yes, me too!
I wouldn't like to call the outcome either. Impressive as she is, I doubt she has his superhuman driving skills, but neither does he (or anyone else) have anything like her knowledge of the circuit.
A rolling start, side-by-side and a full chat head-to-head lap - what a spectacle!
Cheers

It sounds like a horrific story, especially from somebody like him who should know better. I'm hopping that the taxi driver was exagerating a lot though.
The driver was left 'shaken' apparently. That doesn't sound like good or safe driving to me. He apparently went around corners at full throttle, if they were anything other than gentle bends then that would have probably been either dangerous, or relatively slow. Maybe the taxi driver just wanted to be in the news?

Hopefully Schumi was on his way for this weekend's Race Of Champions at Wembley, where my sons and I will be cheering him on.
As for that Sabine. I would like to see her in a Transit van round the Nurburgring any time. Preferably in the back of it ... ;-)
