Budget buy for disabled person - cmbdon
hi

looking to buy a car for my wife who has leg trouble getting in and out of our current car Toyota Carina E.

getting into the car is a problem currently as is a little too high but we find that getting out again is hard if the car is too low down !!

someone suggested a Scenic - any thoughts?

so any ideas on the ideal height car - my budget is £1500 - £2000.

cheers all

If you can find a good one, any Citroen with the (reliable) hydropneumatic suspension. It'll be low when you get in and you can put it on high when you get out. As long as the fluid and spheres have been changed when required this suspension system is very reliable and nothing to be frightened of. Not so sure about the rest of the car though! Their older diesels have a good reputation though, as other posters on here will probably confirm.

Go to a car supermarket to try many suitable cars. You don't need to buy it there but that's where you are likely to see many marques/models together.
