Car sold, lost key found - doctorchris
Having sold my daughter's Fiesta to a nice couple we sent off the documentation with their details on, not keeping a record of it. A long lost second key for the car has now turned up and we'd like them to have it. Any way we can recover the buyers' details?

If it's not a transponder key or on a remote control fob, I wouldn't bother...

could you imagine the scenario if the documents were lost in the post to swansea?
anyway lecture over :-)
keep it just in case they get in touch but if its an oldish festa p regish you can get a clone key for 20 notes these days,i would suggest you keep away in case by getting in touch they think you are soft and start moaning about the spare going down no radio code and the o/s wheel arch is now showing rust

And of course I wouldn't dream of suggesting this, but if you knew where they lived you could repossess the car quietly at night and sell it again.

Looks like best to just leave things as they are.

Keep the key as a souvenir.

I still have the original key for most of the cars that I've ever owned. Please don't ask me why!

I've only recently thrown away the Moggie Minor key we found when we bought the house thirty-odd years ago. We had a new kitchen, and it was in THAT drawer.
How do I know it was for a Moggie Minor?
Back in the sixties, the PO had 'one key fits all' for its fleet. I can't remember the number now, but I recognised it. Perhaps someone else may recall the number.
