L Reg - central locking - intermittently u/s - John F
My son's 1.6L 'L'plate occasionally doesn't allow him in - just can't unlock it occasionally! Is this a known problem? [the other night he left it unlocked and the low-life stole....a rear door! ]
Is there any way of turning it off and just turning the key in the lock?

When it next happens tell him to try unlocking it by the passenger door. If it works then passenger lock mechanism (not neccessarily the tumbler but the latch bit) is sticking hence giving the locking motor some gripe.

You can turn it off by unplugging the fuse.

A rear door is a bit random! Why stop there?

airconditioned too
just think of the time saved strapping a baby in the back on a busy road

Many thanks for your help - [the plus side is it hasn't rained much...]
