I'm guessing over thirty-thousand pounds for a Citroen is a bit too much, even for the fearless Alfa 166 owner to stomach in depreciation.

I had quite a lengthy test drive in one when they were first launched.
Supremely smooth, if a little floaty - wobbly.
Made me a feel a bit sick, actually, even though I never normally get bothered by driving.
Have only seen one on the road for proper.
Would I spend 30K on a Citroen?
Er, No.
Would I buy one at a couple of years old for 10K?
Definitely.
I'd get use to the sick feeling, I suppose.

Thye were only built for French Govt Ministers to drive around in. The Frogs could not drive around in a MB or BMW.
In the UK it will be the Dealer Principals and the like that will have one - it will be the Demo vehicle.
Saw one near Stirling a few months back - it looked pretty nice for such a large car.

I see a beige one around West London from time to time.
My fear is that because there are so few around, the expected bargains a few years down the line won't be there, because there will be so many bargain-hunters (self included) after them that their values will hold up! (Gosh, I could almost pass for a car sales-person!)

Autocar drove one from Lands End to John O'Groats and back again this week, and saw no others on the road.

I beleive that the majority of the UK vehicles are dealer demonstrators and that Citroen are operating a buy back policy to protect residuals much as BMW always do.

my brothers friend lent me his top of the range petrol model a few weeks ago. fantastically comfortable and if i had money to burn i would buy one over a bmw or mb. 500 miles of wafting in near silence

Just returned from 1000-odd miles around S and SW France, with bits of Spain and Andorra, also including time in Toulouse and Bordeaux - and saw just one.

Ditto. I've driven to Burgundy and back (to Norfolk) twice in the past six weeks (ouch!) and seen the grand total of one C6 in France - and that was being used as a taxi!
Hope the electrics are more reliable than my old CX.....

I was chatting to an old boy in a car park last week who has bought a V6 petrol version; he adores it and so do I. Got to agree with the above point also.

I saw one in Northampton the other day in a dark green. Very impressive looking car, well worth 30 grand if you intend to keep it long term but not as a short term purchase.
I was even more amazed that I saw a dark blue Fiat Croma which I understand has been withdrawn now due to poor sales after about a year on sale.

I did see one some months ago in Somerset. I think it's a bit of a styling dead-end, with its banana shaped waistline and unbalanced shape with a funny back window. At least the French have lost their liking for the shallow, understated rear wheel-arches that persisted long after everyone had adopted perfectlly round ones.
Despite the fact that BMW and others have had some dubious detail styling on some models, generally the overall proportions of their cars have been OK. It's just no

Citroen have 63 on their site -as you say from £23K to £30K.

"The C6 has already clocked up 7,000 sales worldwide, which is a strong result given its gradual release on the market since the commercial launch at end-May. The offer was also limited initially to V6 engines."
2000 of those sales were in France.
