K series piston standard size - msolsc
I need help regarding the standard size from k series pistons. I'm from Argentina and currently living in London. A friend ask me to get him piston of 8cm for a 1.6 litres. But when I ask here all they tell me is that there's the "standard size" and then +10, +20, etc... But if I don't know the bore size of the standard I can't figure out which one I need to buy. Can anybody help me? Thanks in advance...

i think they need to know the actual bore size so they can allow for wear and provide you with the correct over size piston

You'll get nowhere trying to buy a piston like that.

Phone your friend and get the chassis [VIN] and engine number for the car and get him to clean off the top of one piston and tell you any markings, numbers or letters that are stamped into it.

Armed with that info; your dealer should be able to quickly reference the required size.

Why doesn't your friend just buy one on e-bay?

Probably a daft question, but what happened to the old one,I have a good reason for asking.
