Some of you may recall I posted about 6 weeks ago when our cars were stolen from our home in a particularly nasty attack.
Pleased to say that last week we got both cars back, on the same day as it happens.
The Subaru Outback is like new, the Fabia VrS is Ok bit feels a bit 'tainted' after being in a police chase. The dealers have tried to do a good job on it but it still feels a bit tired and jaded now.
Myself, wife and young son are absolutely fine - hopefully no long term repercussions - and are back to normal, thankfully ..
Thanks again for all the messages of concern at the time

Glad you got both your cars back, but most of all that life's back to normal. I hope the perpetrators of the attack are being dealt with appropriately, so that their next intended victim will be spared from a similar ordeal.

Evening jdc
Very glad to hear that you've got both cars back and even happier to hear that you're all on the way to getting over the trauma of what happened. I didn't post at the time as everybody else seemed to be saying pretty much what I wanted to but I'm very glad that you're all getting back on an even keel.
All the best.

Did they get the scrotes that did it?

Glad you got your cars back but "Myself, wife and young son are absolutely fine" is the most important bit.

Without giving away any secrets, what measures have you taken to prevent this happening again? Don't want to depress you but thieves do return to a home if they have found a vulnerability there.
|
Umm ... what you say is true, as regards *burglary*, but the circumstances of this particular *robbery* (you did read the original description, didn't you?) are so unlikely to be repeated as to make the question meaningless.

Hi guys
The police have suggested the chances of this happening again are indeed rare.
I understand three scrotes are still in custody but more than that I can't say without getting into dodgy ground. Suffice to say I may have to go to Court .....
The funny thing is it now feels as though it happened to somebody else and not me - but as I thought immediatey afterwards, we will end up losing out somehow despite being covered on insurance. My car doesn't feel quite right but I cant afford to trade it in and take that hit but as you say - the main thing is we as a family are OK.
The cars and watches and phones etc.etc. are replaceable, other things aren't.
Cheers
