Remember an article years ago in Motor abouty the NSX - apparantly it took 40 man hours to assemble one - 10 times as long as a standard Honda.

There will have been efficiencies since then so my bet is somewhere around 3 hours per car.

It takes 8 house to assemble one at one of the most efficient car plants in Europe apparently!

But how many in the house ;-) Sorry I'll get my coat.

You'd be surprised how fast Bentley Continental GTs are assembled in Crewe. Nowhere near as fast as a Cashcow but faster than the 40 hours of the suggested time of an NSX!

Time to build a Qashqai - Hoseman
A neighbour who is a supervisor at Nissan Sunderland told me that it takes approximately

14 hours to build a Qashqai from start to finish. One comes off the assembly line every 47 seconds,and they are producing approx 1000 per day
The plant is working flat out producing the Note and Qashqai and Micra.
I hope this answers a query by a previous backroomer.
Nissan are building a plant to build The Qashqai in Japan
I dont know how these figures compare with other manufacturers but they seem pretty impressive to me.
