full beam not working - jimbo_the_jetset
Noticed the other day that when i have dipped headlights on I can't put full beam on? But I can flash full beam on when I have side lights on or none at all.

The stalk usually clicks when you put full beam on with dipped headlight on, so the only thing I can think of is that a relay has gone. Only prob is I'm not sure where that realy might be and the haynes manual isn't much help.

Any ideas?

Peugeot stalks of that era are known to fail. Possibly a contact issue in the stalk, but wiggling it often makes the function come one briefly. IF I recall correctly, isn't it a twisty type Full beam switch? (Or is that the early 106's?)
Anyway only way to check is to remove the stalk and check it with a meter. I would have thought the flash beam and full beam went thought the same relay. The click sound may just be the stalk clicking into position, but means nothing if wiring or contact points are loose/corroded.

I'll have remove the steering column shroud and get a closer look. Just seemed odd that it works for side lights but not on dipped.

It's a twist to put side then dipped lights on and a pull to for full beam.

p.s. do you need full beam for an MOT cause if I can't fix it it doesn't really bother me too much?
