Evening all
I have a '00 Vectra 2.0CDX with a Philips CCR600 cd changer stereo. It has a facility on it whereby it turns up the volume as I speed up and turns it down as I slow down. Can I turn this facility off? And if so, how? It's terribly annoying when I'm motoring along with Barry White thumping out of the speakers only for him to go all quiet when I approach a roundabout!
Many thanks, in advance, for your help.
Cheers.

The answer's yes but I can't recall how. Presume you don't have the manual?
The amount of increased volume is adjustable so that if correctly set, you shouldn't really notice it's happening. Barry should be thumping whatever the speed!

Press tuner control until you hear a beep. The display will show "SD VOL +X" (where X is the adjustable number) Adjust the number with the < and > tuning buttons. The higher the "X" number the more sensitive the auto volume will be. Press and hold tuner to store new setting.
At "SD VOL 0" the auto volume control is turned off.

Thanks for your help there chaps - sorry I've not replied sooner but I've been away with work.
Cheers.
