All in favour of new measures - too many of these badges are being stolen and used to avoid high town and city centre parking fees.

As the badge holder's details are not on show, it's difficult to know if the user is genuine or not.

Incidentally, both my wife and my best mate are entitled to and use a blue badge; I discovered recently that not only does a blue badge holder avoid having to pay congestion charges, it also allows free travel through the Merseyside tunnels (apparently you have to go in person to apply for the facility).
