Replied to this post last night expressing an opinion (specifically marked 'in my opinion') which questioned the wisdom of the theme of this post, and would probably have saved fellow posters a lot of grief should they need to claim on their insurance. Sadly, it has been removed without any reference whatsoever.
If this second post is retained on the forum, please appreciate fellow posters, that for the forum to be of use to us all, extreme censorship will make the content of the forum worthless. If all it becomes is an advertising revenue generator, and upset anyone ( who is currently or likely to advertise) at your peril, it loses its point, just lke most local newsapers.
When did you last see a complaint about a garage or an estate agent in your local journal?
I would hope that the Site Censor would be able to counter with the reasons for deleting the message. I do not accept that it was anything other than a genuine opinion, with full evidence available to support it.

Wasn't me ! But I would have as it breaches the name and shame policy - read the small print. It also states the policy on moderation decisions.. :-)

And the reply from chris m above? Does that not shame?

My post earlier on in this thread was based on the experiences a colleague at work is currently going through with Swift. I could have given chapter and verse, but what's the point when it would only be deleted. Following his experience I very much doubt he will be renewing with them.

I think the point has been made. Can we move on please ?

Pugugly, you may as well lock the thread as the site rules won't allow me to offer a genuine response to the OP's question.
|
|
Chris your opinion remains unedited....just trying to bring it back on track.
|
|
you better remove mine as well seing as its now the autumn equinox (nearly) and the swifts have indeed left ;-)

Pugugly, I'm not trying to turn this into an argument about site rules but unless the OP was after yes or no answers, then you will get opinions posted. Some will be of the Swift are good and some will be Swift are bad. For this thread to be of any use, you need both. But the bad isn't allowed - so what's the point of anyone posting such a thread?

I had asked for positive comments, being mindful of the site rules. That having been said, I think there are ways to convey luke warm/negative views without violating the rules.

I was about insure with them as they were aroung £60 cheaper with my current company and the only diff being no hire car should your car ever be off the road.
Called Swift to find out what 6 weeks european cover would be, was going to work out at around £60. Before taking them up then called my current insurer out of interest to find out about the same euro cover and my current insurers reply was 90 days cover included, needless to say I stuck with the AA. So pays to find out every little detial.

To update the thread. I decided to go with Swift. To top up the coverage to match that provided by Norwich Union, I purchased the courtesy car extension and the legal assistance. Even with these add ons, the price was £210 - saving £100 on my renewal quote from NU.
Very much an online operation with certificate, schedule and policy available on your designated webspace. To prove your NCB allowance you scan and email a copy of your renewal quote. Phone numbers in case of claim are provided. An additional text hit my mobile within seconds of binding.
