Hi thanks for all the help with the with the alarm and wiring got all of them working the only thing I did not check was the heater the blower works fine at all speeds but no warm air I was wondering if anyone had any problems with this thanks Neil o

Its a major job to do a matrix on these,check everything else before you strip the dash down,ie are the pipes connected or have they been joined under bonnet because the matrix leaks?

Hi again just checked the pipes leading in to the matrix from the engine side both where cold after ten mins running and the guage had moved opened the the bleed nipple on the matrix pipes water was cold so I now think the theromstat could be at fault ? any other ideas ?

If the engine is reaching normal temperature in a reasonable time and not overheating then I would check that the water valve on the heater (if it has one) is operating, and that there isn't an air lock in the heater matrix.

I do hope you don't have to change the heater matrix but they're a common fault on these.
To change, simply take the new heater matrix, unbolt all the old parts from the car and bolt them one by one onto the new heater matrix. IIRC book time is about 8 hours.
