The indicators on my A4 have stopped working ... the hazard lights work fine but when I indicate left or right the indicator either flashes just once or not at all ... any ideas on where the problem is and how difficult it would be to repair?

Sounds like the relay - they just pull-out on most cars.
If not it could be the indicator switch, which is much more expensive and tricky to repalce.

The hazard switch & relay are one of the same. Both my sons Passats have suffered similar problems. If you take the hazard switch apart & bend the relay contacts slightly normal service will be restored. Otherwise replace it with a new one.
