Seen in Porlock village last weekend What from the rear looked like a vintage Lagonda,as it was parked could have a good look, open two seater, spare wheel (knock off wheels) on rear exposed petrol tank.four exhaust pipes coming out of offside of bonnet,a very nicely finished bronze plate on each side of bonnet calling it THE DUCHESS,strangest of all the only badge on a pretty tall radiator looked like the Viking boat Rover trademark.
Does anyone out there know this vehicle, wondered if it had been built or modified for a film.

Hi ndbw,
Just tried a bit of googling - if the link works have a look at the advert for this kit car!
It's from 1981 and is from a firm called 'Classic Roadsters LTD' from Fargo ND (North Dakota). They called it The Duchess and you could build it yourself in 80 man hours (allegedly). They mention the fact that it is 'built in the tradition of its MG forebears'. Not sure if that's anything to do with the badge - when did MG & Rover link up? After finding this link I'm all googled out!!!!!!!!!!
