Hate to advertise this product but Cilit Bang works just fine at getting rid of the mold. It contains a low level of bleach but not enought to do any harm to the paintwork. Spray it on and leave for a couple of mins. before wiping off and then washing.

......... Cilit Bang ............ contains a low level of bleach

The fact that it removes tarnish from copper coins suggests that it contains acid ~ probably nitric acid, from my fading memory of chemistry lessons.

A solution of dishwasher or washing machine powder (and sponge) will clean it off. Thereafter rub silicone spray or car wax into rubber parts (but not plastic parts) and a proprietary 'back to black' type gunk to the plastic parts. This delays reappearance.

Alternatively, if you have one, put the car into the garage!

Try washing it with a water based wax .. and a sponge. and drying with a leather.

It's probably algae, not mould. Mine has been known to support a growth of moss. The side parked next to the hedge suffers most. My method is to use really hot water so the rubber gets soft, and prise the door-top strip away from the side window with something plastic so you can run a Fairy liquid impregnated rag-covered finger along the inside. If you don't get rid of this concealed stuff it just spreads up again.

Clean it more often and in greater detail. Use a brush on intricately shaped parts. I use a one of a variety of brushes depending on the particularly problem area ~ standard car-washing brush, old shaving brush, old toothbrush, 1" paint brush, bottle brushes of various sizes etc. Mould/algae only grows in places which don't get sufficiently detailed attention.
